Description
DESCRIPCION: Ham from 100% Iberian pigs selected from birth, fed on natural cereals until they reach a weight of between 40 and 50 kg, at which point they are taken to the pastures. There they are fed on a selection of cereals, grasses, tubers, roots and acorns, reaching 90/100 kg when the montanera begins, at the beginning of October. At that time when the acorns fall, they begin to feed exclusively on them until they reach an approximate weight of 180 kg in their adult stage.
IMPORTANT: Due to a decision made by our supplier, this product is packaged in absorbent paper and shipped in an individual box. IT DOES NOT INCLUDE A FABRIC COVER.
TASTING NOTE
This 100% Iberian acorn-fed ham “Pata Negra” we discover a ruby red hue, a delicate grain and a high percentage of oleic acid that helps maintain an adequate level of cholesterol in the blood, as well as being rich in proteins, vitamin B1, iron, zinc, magnesium, folic acid and vitamin E (excellent antioxidant).
On the nose we recognize intense and pleasant aromas exclusive to 100% Iberian acorn-fed ham, typical of its character and personality.
On the palate we appreciate an intense and persistent flavor with a sweetness characteristic of 100% Iberian acorn-fed ham due to a reduction in the time of salting and long maturation, achieving a healthier and tastier product, pleasant for all palates.
